Short issue.
The unlimited ERA for TML
2002 will be 4.58. Anyone at 4.58 and over is
limited to 40 starts and 90 appearances.
The Kentucky Wardogs are back with a vengeance!!!!
Rocky's squad moved out to a , TML best, 21-3 record to top the Aaron by 3 over the perennial big guys, Tarpin Ridge.
In other divisional starts, Commack and Mudville both went out 18-6 to lead their divisions by 3 and 5 respectively. Rainier is leading the Mays by a half game over Wild. Very early and things are much too close to call for sure, so we will have to ask Rocky how his 1,385 replays turned out! <G>
The top batter was a no-brainer. Even I could figure out that Barry Bonds of Troy has picked up where he left off. Bonds created 38 runs in the 24 games with a 1.386 OPS and a .947 secondary average. Per Bill James, a secondary average equal to your batting average is good. Bonds does not appear on the top ten batter list, meaning he is not hitting .354. His secondary average is .947. Barry hit 11 homers to share early honors with Jason Giambi and Rafael Palmeiro.
Albert Pujols of Fort Lauderdale gets runner up with a .432 BA, 1.171 OPS and 27 runs created.
Pitcher was tough, but ultimately it went to co-winners, Tim Hudson and Ramon Ortiz of Tarpin Ridge. Hudson and Ortiz both went 5-0 to edge out Barry Zito of Mudville (5-1). Scott Stewart of TR and Trevor Hoffman of MV both notched 12 saves to dwarf the rest of the relievers. Stewart was 12 for 12!
Period 2 is now underway and the reporting deadline is June 7. Don't let me have to come looking for you!!!
Both drafts will be held (via AOL Instant Messenger) on Saturday, May 17th. The 1953 draft will kick off at noon followed by the 1969 draft at 2. All times are eastern.
Waiting for McGraw to report its games so that we can finish the season and get on with the playoffs.

The standard TML series naming convention is HHRRYY (Home team initial, Road team initial, TML Year) when reporting a series. Also please note that AT is the Abrams Tankers and DM is Andrew's Team. Don names his teams for his grandchildren but we maintain the team initials as DM.
That's it for now.
