Deadlines for Period 6 in 1951 and Period 7 in 2000 is September 10th. Only 1 series to play in each!
TML2000
It was Gotham City all the way in Period 6. The Bronzed Bombers ran up 12 wins and took advantage of .500 blocks by Zaca and Miami to take over the lead by 3 games over Miami and 4 over Zaca.
Troy was quiet this time as none of their games were reported. New York got some false hope as they inched to 7 back, but it will be false hope as they square off with the Hays in period 7.
The Mantle retains the crown for craziest as McGraw took their shot this month and moved to within 3.5 of Mudville with Berne just a half notch further back. The Aaron knotted up further as everyone kissed their sister going 7-7 except the brothers Ross. Tom won 9 times and Richard 5 in their family showdown. Buffalo held onto a 3 game lead over Millenium, but Fallsburg is now only 4 back!
The Troy – New York matchup is the big one this period while the other contenders get to meet the bottom part of their respective divisions.

TML1951
It got more interesting.
Rainier plays both Buffalo (road) and Andrews at home in what will probably be the key series of the year. That is until Rainier goes to Andrews and Buffalo visits Rainier in the final series of the year. Hold your breath, this will be fun! Disney plays Mudville and crosses the living room to play New York this series while North Country gets New York at home and Troy on the road. It ain’t over…………….yet.
Co-Player of the series honors go to Stanley Frank Musial of Commack and rookie of the year leader, Minnie Minoso of Buffalo. Minoso created 43 runs while hitting .441 with 36 rbis. The Man hit .417 hitting 6 homers with a .515 OBP (1.209 OPS). Other notable this month was Ted Williams hitting .417 with a .551 OB for Mudville and Earl Torgeson of Rainier ripping 11 homers with 40 rbi.
Pitcher of the period was Warren Spahn of Mudville. Spahnnie was 4-0 to move to 23 wins, as his ERA was 0.75 of Rainier. Murry Dickson (remember his 7-0 month last time?) 7-1 for the Rowdies. North Country pitcher of the month was Iron Leg Lou Brissie with 1 in and 7 saves in 8 games for the Knights.
